Coral coexistence rules
- Euphyllia (hammer / torch / frogspawn) — long sweepers; leave a 6"+ buffer.
- Soft corals — chemical warfare; carbon filtration is mandatory.
- SPS — high light + flow; place at the top of the rockwork.
- LPS — moderate light, indirect flow; mid-shelf placement.
- Bubble-Tip Anemones — mobile; assume they will roam and sting nearby corals.
⚠ Livestock safety: Always dip new corals in a coral-safe solution to prevent introducing pests like flatworms or Aiptasia. Acclimate corals slowly to your lighting (start in shaded zone, raise weekly).
