Aquascape principles
- Open sand-bed visible — leave 50–60% sand visible for a modern reefscape.
- Flow channels — leave at least one corridor between rock structures.
- Avoid back glass — algae loves dark corners pressed against the back wall.
- Coral spacing — soft corals grow fast; plan 3" buffers between aggressive species.
⚠ Safety: Use only reef-safe rock (Marco, CaribSea Life Rock) and reef-safe putty. Never introduce raw beach rock — it leaches metals and silicates.
