Stocking guidelines we use
- Reef stocking density: ~1" of adult fish per 5 gal (vs. freshwater's 1"/gal)
- Aggression mixing: only one semi-aggressive species per 50 gal
- Clownfish: bonded pair only — three+ usually fight
- Tangs: need swimming length — 4 ft minimum for most species
⚠ Livestock safety: Always quarantine new fish 14–30 days. Even captive-bred specimens can carry ich, velvet, or brook. Never add fish straight from the store.
