Large-polyp stony (LPS) corals are the perfect intermediate-difficulty coral. They are more demanding than softies but far more forgiving than SPS. Hammers, frogspawn, torches, and duncans are the entry points.

Light

PAR 100–200 with full polyp extension as your visual confirmation.

Flow

Gentle, indirect flow. Polyps should sway, not whip.

Spacing

Euphyllia (hammers, frogspawn, torches) sting neighbors aggressively. Leave at least 6 inches between different species.
